Description

Counselor to provide specialized professional professional and technical direction and coordination of the Personal Financial Management (PFM)Education, Training and Counseling Program. The contracted counselor will establish, plan, direct, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Personal Financial Management (PFM) education, training and counseling program that emphasizes personnel financial responsibility and accountability. The counselor will provide basic principles and practices of sound money management, specialized financial counseling, consumer education programs and information and referral services. He/she will develop, implements, and facilitates workshops and other types of financial education and training. The counselor will provide individual and family financial counseling. Assesses needs, determines services required, and develops tailored financial counseling plans for individuals and families. Interviews and counsels clients in the process of financial decision-making, sound money management, working through financial problems, overcoming financial indebtedness, and achieving financial goals. Performs data analysis, evaluate effectiveness of the services provided and reports program progress to the Family Service Center Director. All client records and non-client contacts will be recorded in Quality of Life Management Information System (QOLMIS.NET).
