Description

This is a solicitation notice for a proposed construction contract for the construction of a 2 phase parking lot upgrade at the American Lake Division of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The first phase will be the construction of a 120 space parking lot and access road adjacent to Building 61. The second phase will be to provide storm drains and repave the 20,000 square foot parking lot for Building 81. The Va is seeking a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for the proposed contract. Work will include, but is not limited to, the following: demolition, grading, paving, installation of exterior lighting, storm drains, concrete sidewalks and curbs, electrical, and landscaping. There will be a pre-bid site inspection on November 21, 2000 at 1 PM in Building 17 Room 110 at the American Lake Division, Tacoma, WA. Contract completion time will be 150 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Work will be completed in two sequential phases with a VA activation period following the first phase. Estimated cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The VA anticipates awarding a firm, fixed price contract. This will not be a small business set aside solicitation. The Standard Industrial Code is 1611. Construction document bid packages will be available on November 15, 2000.
