- Description
- The Coast Guard intends to procure on a sole source basis, shipping information distributed monthly on computer readable magnetic tape. The data includes, but is not limited to, such information as ship's country of register, size, Lloyd's Registry Number, physical description, date of build, gross tonnage, call sign, design speed, owner/manager, registry number, flag, and radar/radio capability. Lloyd's Registry of Shipping is the only known source for accurate shipping information that can be provided in a timely and consolidated manner. The proposed contract period would be 12 months for the following: (1) 12 each Magnetic Tapes delivered monthly to the Operations Systems Center from 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001, (2) 4 each Data Tapes for National Oceanic and Amospheric Administration (NOAA) from 1 October 2000 througn 30 September 2001, and (3) 1 each Reprogramming for new data formats. Other firms who can furnish these magnetic tapes are invited to submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capability to furnish the entire requirement. Vendors failing to provide complete information for an accurate comparison will not be considered. Responses shall be addressed to the following: Commanding Officer, U.S. Coast Guard Operations Systems Center, ATTN: Daniel R. Klink, 408 Coast Guard Drive, Kearneysville West Virginia, 25430.
