Description

The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, rental and laundry services on non-insulated coveralls, long sleeve and short sleeve shirts, pants, shop towels, and storage lockers. Clothing shall be flame retardant. The clothing that contains lead or cadmium shall be in accordance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations (Standards 29-CFR) Lead 1010.1025(g) and Cadmium 1910.1027(i). The contractor responsibility is to size the Letterkenny Army Depot employees on site at AMC Field Support Center, Paul C. Hutton Road, Building 2588, Fort Bliss, Texas 79916. The quantities for the contract will be estimated annually. The quantities are as follows: Flame Retardant Coveralls 1 person x 5 changes per week equals 260 cleaning per year, Flame Retardant Shirts 7 personnel x 5 changes per week equals 1820 cleaning per year, Flame Retardant Pants 7 personnel x 5 changes per week equals 1820 cleaning per year, Shop Towels 200 per week equals 10,400 cleaning per year, and 8 storage lockers. This requirement will have individual delivery orders written against the basic contract. This requirement is full and open competition and is a requirements type contract with a base year and four option years. This procurement will be issued as a Request for Quotation and will follow the simplified acquisition procedures. The anticipated award will be 1 December 2000.
