Description

1) All materials to be removed are contained in the basement of the Border Station, Noyes, MN, a GSA owned facility at the Red River of the North & Canadian border. 2) Contractor will furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, and materials to properly remove approximately 1,340 lineal feet of pipe wrap and asbestos elbows, approximately 155 square feet of material above holding cells, properly dispose of the same, and reinsulate the areas where existing materials are removed. All State of MN ACM procedures for pre-notification and removal govern this work. 3) Contractor must submit credentials and insurance to provide evidence of work experience with asbestos. 4) Contractor must have a primary or secondary work facility established in the US within 300 miles of the work site. 5) The materials to be removed and disposed of were subject to the 1997 Red River flooding and may contain mold in addition to asbestos materials. 6) All on site work must be performed in accordance with a work schedule approved in advance by the contracting officer. 7) The estimated cost of performing this work is estimated between $22,000 and $42,000.
