Description

Project consists of reconstr./constr. 19 campsites at Sherando Rec. Area, to include some clearing, excav. & borrow; installation of treated timbers for edging, crushed stone surfacing; removal of existing concrete vaults (3), table mounts, fire rings, lantern holders & tent pad edging timbers. Utilities: install 1 inch dia. PE waterline, 1 freeze-proof ADA yard hydrant assembly w/curb stop, 4 inch dia. PVC sewer line plus 4 cleanout assemblies, 19 campsite power panels, 4 -- #6 to #3/0 copper THWN electric conductors in conduit, and a wood enclosure for a 400 amp panel box assembly. Location: George Washington & Jefferson National Forests, Glenwood/Pedlar Ranger District, Augusta County, Virginia.
