Description

U.S.D.A. Choice Beef for the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) Western Pacific Region, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Requirements are for an annual estimated 23,699,731 pounds of fresh beef products. The required delivery schedule is 7 days from the order issue date. Award will be for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, fixed price with special factor added to the weekly market price. Performance shall be for a base period of 12 months and two, one-year option periods. Solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal on or about October 30, 2000. Performance is estimated to begin on March 20, 2001. The SIC code is 2011 & the NAICS code is 311611for this requirement with a size standard of 500 employees. Solicitation is to be issued on an unrestricted basis. All requests for a copy of the solicitation must be in writing and should include the solicitation number as well as complete name and address of the firm, business size status, point-of-contact, phone and facsimile number of the requestor or their designated representative. For the purpose of this solicitation, there are Four Groups, the stores included in each group are as follows: GROUP I -- Bangor, Bremerton, Fort Lewis, Fairchild, Malmstrom, McChord, Smokey Point, Whidby Island & Mountain Home GROUP II -- Beale, Fallon, Hill, Lemoore, McClellan, Moffett Field, Ord Community, Presidio of San Francisco, & Travis GROUP III -- Barstow, China Lake, Davis Monthan, Edwards, Fort Huachuca, Fort Irwin, Luke, March, Nellis, Yuma MCAS & 29 Palms GROUP IV -- Camp Pendleton, Imperial Beach, Los Angeles, Miramar, North Island, Port Hueneme, San Diego NS, & Vandenberg 26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
