Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice is issued under Request for Quotation (RFQ) number 959167, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is unrestricted. The standard Industrial Classification is 7384. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clause are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-19. The Government intends to solicit a DeVere # 504 Floorstanding Photographic Enlarger Chassis. The requirement is for the: Enlarger to be a floor standing model; have a floor foot space no greater than (h) 108 inch x (w) 40 inch x (d) 44 inches; have a drop table assembly assessable by front controls is needed due to restricted space in the darkrooms; the color enlarging head must use Dichroic filters to adjust for print color balance; the color enlarging head must also have a fan driven air cooled diffused light source; the enlarging system must be adaptable from a diffused light head to a condenser lighting system; the enlarger must be able to handle lens from 25mm to 150 mm; be able to handle multiable film formats from 35mm or smaller up to 4 by 5 inches; be able to utilize existing parts and enlarging lens system that is on hand with the end user; and the power requirements must meet current power consumption of that of the end user of 110/120 volts, 12 amps, 60HZ AC. The above characteristics are intended to be descriptive, but not restricted. Unless clearly marked that the vendor is quoting on an "equal" the offered item shall be considered as the brand name product referenced in this announcement. If the vendor proposes to furnish an "equal"product the brand name if any, of the product to be furnished shall be inserted on the proposal. The evaluations of the quotations and the determination as to equality of the product shall be the responsibility of the Government and will be based on information furnished by the vendor. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity of the requirement. If the vendor proposes to modify a product so as to make it conform to the requirement of this announcement he shall include a clear description of such proposed modifications and clearly mark any descriptive materials to show modifications. The Government reserves the right to request product samples which can be tested for compatibility. A standard commercial warranty is required. The Floorstanding Enlarger must include the following features: a) Dichromatic Head 500w/240v; b) 500w Stabilized Power Supply; c) Universal Timer; d) Negative Carrier; e) 4 x 5 Cut Film Mask; f) 6 x 7 cm Roll Film Mask; f) 6 x 6 cm Roll Film Mask; g) 35mm Roll Film Mask; h) Flat Lens Panel Cut 150mm Rodagon; i) Flat Lens Panel Cut 150mm Leica; j) Sunken Lens Panel Cut Leica; k) Condensor Head w/ 180mm Condensor, 120mm Condensor and 100mm Condensor.
