Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD, China Lake, CA intends to enter negotiations, on an other than full and open competition basis, with General Dynamics, 77 "A" Street. Needham Heights, MA 02494 to procure 2 each Fastlane KG-75, FL-34678-4 OC-3 MM encryptors, 4 each Taclane, KG-175. GD-49470-1 AC powered encryptors and 1 each GEM-Encryptor Manager, EM-69001-1 software package to be delivered by April 30, 2001. The intended use of these devises is to provide secure networking capabilities across remote facilities at the two major NAWCWD cites. General Dynamics, which provides these encryptors for the National Security Agency IDIQ contract, is the only qualified manufacturer of these devices. The solicitation will be issued on or about November 21, 00 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at: http://nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than General Dynamics, should be submitted in writing to NAWCWD no later than 15 days from the date of this synopsis and shall address your experience and capability to produce the encryptors with the needed capability.
