ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Solicitation No.: 193045-01-A-0004 Elk River MN 55330-9998 Main Post Office Project Number Y71627. THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS PREVIOUSLY PRE-QUALIFIED UNDER SOLICITATION 193045-98-A-0534OR 193045-99-A-0131 FOR THE STATE OF MINNESOTA. On or about 10-25-00, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of a new Main Post Office at Elk River MN 55330-9998. Proposals will be opened on 11-22-00 at 2:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. NO INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN OUT UNTIL TIME OF AWARD -- FOUR WEEKS AFTER CLOSING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $2.8M and $3.1. Description of the work is: A new 21,000 square foot main post office building with an attached enclosed 15,000 square foot vehicle garage. The project is located at the intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 13 in Elk River MN. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 375 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. AFTER 10-23-00 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS MAY BE ORDERED FROM KELLY BLUEPRINT.
