Description

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) proposes to procure by sealed bidding layberthing services for one vessel on the U. S. Gulf Coast. The period of performance is one year with four one-year options. It is anticipated the invitation for bids (IFB) will permit an alternate bid for a longer period of performance. The performance period for the alternate bid will be one year with nine one-year options. An IFB will be available on or about November 8, 2000 from www.fedbizopps.gov or by visiting the MARAD homepage at http://www.marad.dot.gov/acquisition/. Bid opening will be held on or about December 9, 2000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by MARAD. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
