Description

The Federal Correctional Institution at Morgantown, WV, intends to award a contract for a 35 to 45 ton split system air cooled air conditioning unit without air handler. Unit shall consist of 480V, 3 phase condensing unit, not to exceed 90 amps. Must have either multistage compressor, or 2 compressors, with vibration isolators. System will be for R-22 freon and have all controls necessary for installation. The existing air handler has a 8,000 cfm fan. The minimum and maximum measurements for the evaporator coil are as listed. All coils shall be of copper tubing. Evaporator Coil Length -- Minimum length of 4 feet 10 inches; Maximum length of 6 feet. Minimum height 2 feet 6 inches; Maximum height of 3 feet 3 inches. Minimum width of 8 inches; Maximum width 14 inches. Requires ACR Copper line set with insulation, total length 150 feet from coil to condensing unit with a 20 foot rise. Also requires 20 (90's) per line size, 5 street (90's) per line size, 5 couplings per line size and all expansion and solenoid valves as required for installation shall be included. Contractor shall provide all physical specifications of offered unit to include weight, dimensions, and schematics.
