- Subject: REQUEST FOR INDUSTRY COMMENT ON THE REPLACEMENT OR PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT OF THE HYDRAULIC HIGH PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS CURRENTLY USED IN THE HU25 AIRCRAFT. Description: The Coast Guard is seeking information from potential sources who can replace or improve the existing hydraulic high pressure transmitters (JAEGER part numbers 1-1118ZF and 1-1118ZG) currently installed in its fleet of 30 operational aircraft. The pressure transmitter must provide remote information for the pressure in the aircraft_s primary and standby hydraulic systems, and at low pressure, internal switching to operate an external warning lamp. The operating pressures are 0-5000 PSI for the primary hydraulic transmitter (P/N 1-1118ZF) and 0-3500 PSI for the standby hydraulic transmitter (P/N 1-1118ZG). A complete information package containing reliability and technical specifications will be required. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The purpose of this announcement is to determine if a suitable replacement or improvement to the existing pressure transmitters is available. The Coast Guard will not entertain any major modification to the aircraft during installation. Organizations having the required expertise and capabilities are invited and encouraged to submit complete information discussing possible solutions to the replacement or improvement to the existing system. Comments do not constitute a proposal; rather, will be considered as an open exchange of capabilities and ideas. The information contained therein shall pertain to this synopsis only. The Government does not intend to pay for the information received. Any interested organization must submit their data in writing within 15 days of this announcement to the addresses given above. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the source data received, nor will a source list be provided.
