Description

The U.S. Soldiers' & Airmen's Home (USSAH) plans to issue a firm fixed price contract to provide Replacement/Retrofit of Centrifugal Chillers for the USSAH, 3700 North Capitol Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20317. The USSAH is a Continuing Care Retirement Community of approximately 1,150 retired and former members of the Armed Forces with an average age of 74. This requirement is for a design-build project for replacement of three (3) chillers and one cooling tower, retrofit of three (3)chillers, and expansion of an existing energy monitoring and control system (EMCS). The chillers range in capacity from 200 tons to 500 tons, and are being replaced and retrofitted because of discontinuance of the refrigerant currently used. The chiller work includes replacement of valves, pumps and all necessary associated piping and equipment for a complete installation. Replacement equipment is to be of the same capacity as existing. Drawings and specifications of the existing equipment will be available at the pre-proposal site visit tentatively scheduled for November 20,2000. The award will be based on best value. The magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Offerors shall request a copy of the solicitation via the fax (202) 730-3506), USSAH will not consider telephonic requests. The solicitation will contain specific instructions for submittal of questions after release. Offerors shall provide company name, address, phone number, fax number, E-mail and point of contact with their request. The Government intends to make one award for this requirement. The solicitation will be available on or about November 15, 2000.
