- Description
- This solicitation is being issued by Gov.Works under the franchise authority of the Department of Interior on behalf of the Naval District Washington. The Naval District Washington has a requirement for a comprehensive, state-of-the-art, region wide fire alarm system. This regional fire alarm system will be fully integrated with the existing King-Fisher Fire Alarm System currently in operation at the Washington Navy yard (WNY). The primary places of performance are the WNY, Naval Observatory (NOB), and the Nebraska Avenue Complex (NAC)which are all located in Washington, D.C. The regional fire alarm system will utilize the (3) existing King-Fisher fire alarm receivers located in the NDW Regional Operation Center (ROC) and the Alternate ROC for processing. The NDW ROC is located at WNY Building 200. The Alternate ROC is located at Building P-5 (firehouse) Bolling AFB. The regional fire alarm solution must be capable of future expansion to encompass the entire NDW Regional Area of Responsibility (AOR). The NDW AOR includes designated military facilities located in Washington, DC, the State of Maryland, and the Northern Virginia counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Arlington, Fauquier, and Stafford. The Contractor shall install a regional fire alarm system that is compatible to the King Fischer fire alarm and Intergraph monitoring system presently used at the Washington Navy Yard. The Contractor shall interface the system with the existing King-Fisher fire reporting receiver located in the Regional Operations Center on the second deck of Building W200 and the Bolling AFB Fire House.
