- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source, commercial item contract to KECO Industries of Florence, Kentucky. The contractor will be responsible for upgrading 443 Multi-Power Input (MTI) 36,000 BTU Air Conditioners (TAMCN B00013). This upgrade includes the modification to the current motor controllers, operational verification, unpacking, commercially repacking, and shipment of the B00013s to designated Marine Corps locations. Likewise, a warranty of one year for these units, as well as 369 B00013s previously procured is required. This will result in a total of 812 units that will be under warranty. Additionally, a requirement exists for the procurement of 150 Motor Controllers, NSN 6110 01 356 9854. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), KECO Industries, is the only source that currently possesses the technical expertise, as well as the processes and standards necessary to successfully complete the B00013 upgrades. * No RFP is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement, to include descriptive literature demonstrating that the company is a KECO Value Added Reseller with OEM certified technicians and pricing, within 30 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above. * This announcement is not a request for competitive proposals; however all proposals received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. * A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22.
