Description

The following is a revision to a previous released CBD announcement for the Logistics Support Vessel(LSV). The original announcement stated that the solicitation would be released on or about 25 October 2000. This modification revises the solicitation release date to on or about 10 November 2000. The U.S. Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command intends to procure the Logistics Support Vessel (LSV) utilizing Best Value Source Selection methods on a Full and Open Competition Basis which will allow both Large and Large and Small Businesses to submit proposals for this effort The single award Contract will be Firm-Fixed Priced for the basic LSV including two (2) option years for the purchase of two (2) additional LSVs. The contract is comprised of efforts primarily in these areas: (1) Hardware-the LSV itself: designing, building, testing and delivering of the vessel; (2) Support of the LSV: Providing logistic, testing and fielding support for the LSV. The operational mission of the LSV is to self deploy to any region in the world, providing transport of combat vehicles and sustainment of cargo to unimproved beaches and undeveloped harbors/ports. We will post and clearly identify the intended final solicitation which we intend to formally release on or about 10 November 2000, the expiration date of the regulatory 15 day notice of contract actions published in the Commerce Business Daily.
