Description

Estimated Price: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project work is located at Glen Canyon Dam and Powerplant, Page, Arizona. The requirement is to remove and properly dispose of existing coating and to furnish and apply new interior coatings to eight penstocks at Glen Canyon Dam and Powerplant. The portion of the penstock(s) to be coated are at a slope of 60 degrees from horizontal, where the only means of support for workers and equipment are lifelines and/or suspended work platforms. The contract will be for one base performance year and 3 option years. Each annual schedule will designate two penstocks to be coated. A site visit is planned for November 9, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. at the Glen Canyon Visitor Center. The meeting will be held in the Bureau Office conference room. For the purpose of determining correct labor rates, all work under this solicitation shall be considered heavy construction.
