Description

There will be a meeting on 11/08/00 for the Mobile Sources Technical Panel under EPA's Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program for Air Pollution Control Technology. This panel is composed of representatives from the manufacturers, vendors, regulators, testing and user communities for mobile diesel engine air pollution control technologies. This is the first meeting of the technical panel. It's purpose will be to review and comment on a draft generic verification protocol. The technical panel has been selected, however this meeting is open to all who wish to attend. The meeting will be in Classroom 2 of the U.S. EPA's Environmental Research Center in Research Triangle Park, N.C., from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM. The goal of ETV is to verify the performance characteristics of commercially ready environmental technologies so that potential purchasers and permitters are provided with an independent and credible assessment of the technology they are buying or permitting. EPA and the Research Triangle Institute (RTI) are partners in the ETV pilot program.
