INDUSTRY CONFERENCE: FUTURE COMBAT SYSTEM MULTI-ROLE CANNON MUNITION SUITE WITH THE U.S. ARMY TANK AUTOMOTIVE AND ARMAMENTS COMMAND, ARMAMENT RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND ENGINEERING CENER (TACOM-ARDEC), PICATINNY ARSENAL, NJ. An Industry Conference will be held on 06 December 2000, in the Lindner Conference Room, Building 1 at TACOM-ARDEC beginning 0900 AMET and concluding 1500 PM ET, hosted by Mr. Ernie Logsdon, Future Combat System (FCS) Multi-role Ammunition Suite IPT Manager. The objective of the Ammunition Suite Program is to design and demonstrate the feasibility of a small family of munitions capable of defeating the entire target spectrum out to extended ranges. This discussion will focus on Extended range Line of Sight (ELOS), Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS), and Non-Line-of Sight (NLOS) capabilities. These capabilities have been shown as the Multi-Purpose Extended Range Munition (MP-ERM) and Smart Cargo missions as part of the FCS Multi-Role Armament and Ammunition ATD. On or about 25 November 2000, an agenda and draft statement of work describing key performance parameters, cost constraints, schedule constraints and interface issues will be available on the Acquisition Center Website http://procnet.pica.army.mil, under DAAE30-01-Q-0202. The industry conference briefing will walk through the draft SOW, will sketch the general acquisition approach, and will summarize several enabling technologies and testing facilities that may be of interest to conference attendees. The brief will be unclassified. Pre-registration is required. There is no registration fee. All expenses incurred by participants as a result of attending this conference will be borne by the participant.
