Description

The Natural Resources Conservation Service, in Reno, Nevada will be issuing multiple solicitations for grass plant seed for use in rehabilitation of areas impacted by recent wildfires. Approximately 4 individual invitations for bids will be issued under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program. (Rehabilitation projects will be in Elko and Washoe counties in Nevada). Seed will be purchased on a Pure Live Seed (PLS) basis. Before accepting delivery of seed shipments, contractors must provide written evidence (seed label and letter) to the NRCS Contract Specialist in Reno, that the seed conforms to Pure Live Seed requirements. Test methods specified in Rules for Testing Seeds, Proceedings of the Association of Official Seed Analysis will be accepted for determining germination rate. Delivery of pre-mixed (if applicable), certified weed free, seed will be contracted for specified locations.
