Description

The Government anticipates awarding a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Aero Systems (LMAS), 86 South Cobb Drive, Marietta, GA 30063 for the S-3 type/model/series (T/M/S) Wingfold Rib Replacement Production and Installation effort. LMAS is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole integrator of the S-3A Weapon System and Weapon System Improvement Program (S-3B). Under contract N00019-98-C-0027, LMAS is completing Wingfold Rib Removal Planning and Preparation, Removal Plan Documentation, Removal Plan Brief, Non-Recurring Engineering for the Rib Installation Design, Integrated Logistics Support, and Trial Rib Removal and Replacement with Validation/Verification Documentation. This follow-on effort is for the production and installation of replacement wingfold ribs on five (5) S-3B aircraft in service with original design ribs with options for spare outer wing panels and installation.
