- Description
- Project consists of modification of an existing nose dock hangar (Building 1164) to accommodate C-17 aircraft and convert an existing wash rack hangar (Building 1178) to a nose dock with aperture hangar door to accommodate C-17 aircraft. Building 1164: Demolish existing hangar doors, door pockets, trench drain, some exterior skin, a portion of existing floors, floor coating, mechanical and electrical systems. Extend existing steel frame, install aperture type hangar door, reconstruct floor to accommodate jacking points, install AFFF fore supression system (including storage tanks with cathodic protection), trench drain/grate and cable fall system. Add wall insulation, slip resistant floor covering, floor markings and paint, insulation/energy efficient building envelope, HVAC upgrade, DDC/EMS upgrade/revision and lighting upgrade. Building 1178: Alter existing Hangar doors and provide additional fall restraint cables. Add wall insulation, HVAC upgrade, HVAC controls, DDC/EMS upgrade/revision, AFFF fire supression system. Alter existing AFFF fire supression system to accommodate C-17 aircraft (supression system to meet requirements of fire protection ETl and of BCE fire Chief). Add lighting upgrade. Remove and relocate/replace existing 8 foot fluorescent fixtures. All work tasks shall be completed in accordance withe the plans and specifications package. AVAILABILITY: This Solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on CD-ROM formate only. EBS CD-ROM disks with plans and specs available on or about 13 Dec 00 at no charge per set. EBS CD-ROM disks will be issued on a first come, first seve basis until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Firms desiring consideration must register Via the internet at the followign address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct. EBS CD-ROMs may be picked up from the Plans Room Monday through Friday between the hours at 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Submit requests by 6 December 2000. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 and completion period is 365 days. The Standard Industrial Classification System Code (SIC) has been replaced by the North American Industry Classificatiaon System Code (NAICS). The NAICS Code for this procurement is 233310, which is matched to SIC Code 1541. Project is open to both large and small business. *If you are a large business and your bid or proposal will exceed $1,000,000, you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan. *For the purposes of this procurement a concern is considered a small business if its average annual receipts are $27.5 million or less.
