Description

The contractor shall provide all tools, labor, materials, permits, license and supervision to demolish and construct areas in accordance with drawings and specifications for Project 544-00-121, "Replace Air Handling Units 1 and 16, Building 100" , located at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC. Work includes but is not limited to general construction, mechanical, electrical work, utility systems, removal of existing structure and air handling units (AHU). AHU 1 is a 4400 CFM unit which primarily serves clinic space on the fifth floor and AHU 16 is a 25000 CFM unit that primarily serves the Operating Suites on the second floor. The length of equipment outage is critical and will be over a specified duration. Estimated dollar value of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Estimated solicitation issue date is October 24, 2000. Estimated bid opening date is December 5, 2000. Drawings and specifications will be available on or about October 24, 2000 at a cost of $35.00 per set (non-refundable). Request must be in writing, stating complete company name and address, tax identification number, contact name and telephone number and accompanied by cashier's check, money order, or certified check only. Make check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs. Do not send cash, personal checks or company checks will not be accepted.
