Description

The work to be performed under this acquisition includes construction, installation, and testing of 2 each 16-inch diameter by approximatley 160 feet deep cased and screened municipal water wells with concrete block well houses, associated piping, valving, motors, pumps, controls, auxiliary engines, and miscellaneous appurtenances. The estimated price range of the work is $100,000 to $250,000. The work is located approximately 1 mile north of Culbertson, Nebraska in Hitchcock County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available 11/14/2000. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before 11/30/2000. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 12/14/2000 at the Bureau of Reclamation, Nebraska-Kansas Area Office, 203 West Second Street, Grand Island, Nebraska 68801. The contract is to be completed within 120 calendar days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region Office, Federal Building, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana, and at the Nebraska-Kansas Area Office. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The small business size standard is $7,000,000 and the standard industrial classification code is 1781.
