Description

This requirement is for engineering, logistics, and technical services needed to support the USAF MH-53J/M helicopter fleet. This is a sole source requirement; Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615-9129, is the only known source in possession of the complete engineering design, maintenance, repair, and overhaul data for the airframes and dynamic components. The Government's technical data package does not contain the detailed design data, engineering analysis, and maintenance analysis required to define and correct H-53 maintenance, operational, and safety deficiencies. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is also the only known source for H-53 structural and flight performance computer models, test fixtures, and test facilities needed to define and correct H-53 maintenance, operational, and safety deficiences. Authority: 10 U.S. 2304(c) (1), Supplies are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
