Description

The Maintenance and Logistic Command Pacific is proposing a contract for the dry-docking and repairs of the USCGC SEDGE. The cutter's home moorage is Homer, Alaska. This solicitation will be issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program on about the 03 November 2000. The period of performance starts 31 January and 27 March 2000. The major work items include and not limited to: Dry-docking, Temporary Services, Warping Capstan (General) level 2 inspect & repair, anchor chain and ground tackle inspect and repair, padeyes, links, level 2 inspect & test, buoy & cargo handling cranes level 2 inspect & repair, bow thruster unit (general) inspect & repair and etc. The notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-owned, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small Business Disadvantaged Business Utilitization (OSDBUS), has programs working capital for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing.
