Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Arizona (U of A), Tucson, AZ 85721 for the establishment of a telemedicine capability in the Republic of Panama in conjunction with the Panamanian National Universities. This contract is a follow-on to an earlier feasibility study completed by the U of A. The U of A will provide consulting services to the Panamanian Universities, training to selected Panamanian personnel, and medical equipment/material required to establish the telemedicine capability in the Republic of Panama. This contract is one part of a larger scientific and technical relationship that has evolved over the past several years and culminated last year with the development and implementation of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA's) between the Republic of Panama and USAYPG. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541330 with a size standard of $4.0 Million. Award of the requirement shall be in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items.
