Description

This project consists of the installation of vertical strip drains for foundation stabilization and raising of the height of the perimeter dike along the West Dike of Center Cell at the Craney Island Dredged Material Area. The work consists of installing vertical prefabricated strip drains through the existing dike and soft clay material to an underlying dense sand layer; installing geotechnical monitoring instrumentation; raising the height of the existing perimeter dike (4H : 1V) approximately 5 to 15 feet using on-site borrow material; and all associated work as indicated and specified. Magnitude of construction is $1-5 million. Duration of the project is 180 calendar days for performance of base bid work, plus an additional 120 calendar days for performance of option items if exercised. This is an UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT.
