Description

Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with the specifications, schedules, and drawings for the repair/replacement of fire pumps located in Building 36, Sections A,B&C. Work is to include the removal of a main fire pump, jockey pump, booster pumps, and their controllers. Their electrical feeds will be removed. A new main pump, jockey pump, and their controllers will be installed. New electrical feeds will be installed. An exterior fire department connection will be installed. A drywall partition will be installed. A vent fan and louvers will be installed. A steam heating element will be relocated. A few sprinklers will be relocated. The work shall be performed by a mechanical contractor who has several years experience in pump installations. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 150 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on permium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The approximate cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. 100% of this project is set-aside for small business. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code 23595, and size standard $11.5 million are applicable. The work is located at the National Imagery and Mapping Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis MO.
