Description
Naval Station Bremerton, formerly the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, will be hosting an ON-SITE Spring IT Exposition on Wednesday, April 4, 2001. With over 10,000 federal employees at this location, we are expecting an excellent attendee turnout!! Naval Station Bremerton has the largest naval shore activity in the Pacific Northwest and is one of Washington State's largest industrial installations, both in terms of plan investment and in number of employed civilians! It is a United States Department of Navy facility that repairs, overhauls, and provides maintenance and decommissioning of ocean-going vessels, including nuclear-powered ships. In addition, The Naval Station Bremerton is the only Shipyard that removes defueled reactor compartments from decommissioned nuclear submarines. The following are just examples to whom the event will be promoted: Pacific Fleet Polaris, Material Office, USS Sacramento, USS Camden, USS Nimitz, USS Roanoke, USS California, USS Rainier, USS Abraham Lincoln, USS Arkansas, Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) and many more. The event will be open to all technologies, including: Laptops, Servers, Barcoding Capabilities, Scanners, Fax Machines, and Printers.
