Centers for Disease Control will be holding their On-Site Fall Technology Exposition on Friday, November 17, 2000. This event will be promoted to over 4,600 personnel in 170 occupations in Atlanta, as well as all other CDC offices, including Information Resources Management and Telecommunications. The Centers for Disease Control has over 10,000 personal computers located at their agency where they have existing contracts for Hardware/Software support, Operating Systems, Win97 & Win NT. Some of the requested Technologies include Workstations, Laptops, Notebooks, LAN's, Modems, Communications/Network Software, Wide Area Networks, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Wireless LAN's, Client/Server Connections, Laser Printers, Color Printers, Storage Devices, Tape Backup Systems, Scanners, Pen-Based Computers, Copiers, Project Management, Desk-Top Publishing, Voice Recognition, Multimedia, Desktop Presentation Systems, Network Security, Development Tools, and Virtual Reality & Video Teleconferencing. 2600 personnel are at the head quarters location which is on the same street as the conference center.
