Naval Air Station Oceana will be hosting an on-site Winter Technology Expo on Thursday December 7, 2000. This event will be promoted to over 11,310 Military Personnel & 1,848 Civilian Personnel! Major tenant groups on base include: Construcion Batallion Unit 415, Fleet Aviation Specialized Operation Training Group, Atlantic Commander, Fighter Wing Atlantic Commander, Nave College Office, Naval Aviation Engineering Support Unit, Naval Atlantic Meteorology and Oceanography Detachment, Strike Weapons and Tactics School and many more! The mission of Oceana NAS is "to support Pacific and Atlantic Aircraft Carriers, Coast Guard, Army, Air Force and National Guard in maintaining optimum combat readiness".
