Description

Dockside repairs to NOAA Ship KA'IMIMOANA to be performed at Naval Station, San Diego. Performance period to commence on or about February 19, 2001, and shall be completed on or before March 23, 2001. Repair items include, but are not limited to: replacement of engine room supply system, preservation of decks, engine room bilge & motor room bilge, clean ventilation systems, modify buoy assembly platform. NOAA Ship KA'IMIMOANA will be available for inspection from approximately December 15, 2000 to January 3, 2001 in Honolulu, HI. Characteristics of NOAA Ship KA'IMIMOANA: Length (LOA): 68.3 m (224 ft); Breadth (moulded): 13.1 m (43 ft.); Draft, Maximum: 4.6 m (15 ft.); Hull: Welded steel/ice strengthened; Displacement: 2,301 tons; Gross Tonnage: 2,014; Net Tonnage: 604. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
