Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to negotiate a Purchase Order with System Technology, Inc. for a STISIM Drive Model 500. The STISIM Drive is a driving simulation system with comprehensive real-time vehicle and tire dynamics which incorporates part-tasking, force feedback steering, dynamic vehicle modeling, computers, simulation hardware, displays, driving controls, simulator software, on-site installation, training, etc. The STISIM Drive Model 500 will provide rapid development and implementation part-task driving simulation capabilities which will allow researchers the ability to develop interactive simulations more quickly and with less support. Because System Technology is the manufacturer of the STISIM Drive 500, they are the only known source for this product. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the threshold is $100,000. The anticipated award date is on or before 10/27/00.
