THIS SPECIAL NOTICE IS INFORMATION TO BE PLACED INTO THE CBD ANNOUNCEMENT FOR AN INDUSTRY FORUM TO PROVIDE INFORMATION FOR DESIGN/BUILD CONTRACTORS FOR AN INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) CONTRACT FOR DESIGN BUILD WORK IN N. TEXAS AND N. LOUISIANA. The Southern Division Naval Facilities Engineering Command will host an Industry Forum at 9:00 AM (Central Time) on Wednesday, 25 October 2000. The Industry Forum will be at the Naval Reserve Training Facility, Building 1803, Room 260, Naval Air Station-Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas. The forum will provide information to Design/Build Contractors on Indefinite Delivery Indefinite (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contracts in North Texas and North Louisiana. Information will be provided for a Multiple Award Contract with an anticipated range between $3,000,000 and $15,000,000 for each Task Order and a Multiple Award Contract with an anticipated range between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000 for each Task Order. The proposed contracts, three to four, will be awarded as Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts for design/build projects in N. Texas and N. Louisiana. It is the Government's desire to set-aside one of the contracts for competition among 8(A) firms. Each contract will be for one base year with three option years. Task Orders for future design/build projects will be competed among the successful contractors. The work for these task orders will be construction, alterations, renovations, and associated demolition in areas of responsibility of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NFEC) Field Offices, Fort Worth, TX, and Barksdale AFB, LA. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), at www.ccr.2000.com.
