Description

A sole source, cost plus fixed fee effort for Near Term Active Protection System (NTAPS) Upgrade Evaluations and Developments is planned with TRW Inc. TRW will conduct evaluations, develop plans and options, upgrade developments and test demonstrations of the improved NTAPS. Efforts will include evaluating the status of advanced IR, UV, Laser and Radar technologies, advanced aiming, pointing steering and thruster technologies, that are not already included in NTAPS, to determine how these technologies can be applied to develop upgraded NTAPS components for the purpose of expanding the overall function of the NTAPS design.
