- Description
- A Program Research and Development Announcement (PRDA) No. MNK-PRDA-01-0002 for the Flash LADAR Seeker Technology program is contemplated for release within 30 days. A Sources Sought Synopsis, Cite D-234 SN 488248, was published in the CBD on 23 August 2000. The overall program objective is to develop an eye safe staring focal plane array laser radar with a range capability of one to two kilometers with sufficient pixels-on-target to perform autonomous target acquisition and attack and to demonstrate LADAR performance in ground based tests. The Government is contemplating a single Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract award. The estimated performance period of this effort is 42 months. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or the Program Manager identified below.
