Description

Requirements Type Contract for base year and two -- one year options for shot, spherical, stainless steel, rust proof. Shot shall be manufactured from corrosion resisting material and conform to the chemical analysis: C -- 0.17 + 0.03 %, Cr -- 18 + 2 %, Ni -- 10 + 4%, Si -- 2.6 + 0.4%, and Mn -- 1.3 + 0.8%. Shot shall be spherical in shape (special screening) and meet the North American Standard, in that no more than 30% of the shot shall be nonsperical in shape with voids, blow holes, worm holes, seams, burrs, cracks or laps. Shot size shall be 0.035 inch nominal diameter with a sieve analysis in which a maximum of 7% shall be retained on a 0.039 inch sieve and 90 % minimum shall be retained on the 0.020 inch sieve through 0.033 inch sieve. Microstructure of the shot shall be austenitic and have a minimum workhardness of Rockwell C45. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 327910. Size Standard is 500 employees. Estimated Request for Quotation issue date is 12 October 2000. This Solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102 (a)(7) and 14.205-1(c); therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
