Description

The subject acquisition is for a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on real property at Lackland Air Force Base, its associated sites, and other military installations in the San Antonio Area. The contract will be an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity type contract and will include a wide variety of individual construction tasks as identified in the Unit Price Book (UPB). During the contract period, Lackland Air Force Base will identify construction tasks required to complete each specific job, and Operational Contracting will negotiate and issue individual delivery orders to the contractor to complete those jobs. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the projects. The contractor will be required to maintain a management office on Lackland Air Force Base in order to receive delivery orders and provide other management services related to accomplishing individual jobs. Individual jobs will vary in size and complexity. The jobs will include tasks in a variety of trades, including carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavating, interior electrical, steam fitting, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry, and welding. The guaranteed contract minimum for the basic year is $25,000.00, and the proposed maximum for the basic contract year and 1 option year is $4,000,000.00. The average value of SABER delivery orders under the previous SABER contract at Lackland Air Force Base was $94,000.00, with a range from $500.00 to $715,752.00. The performance period will be a twelve month basic period plus a twelve month option year. The proposed contract is being considered for award under Full and Open Competition. Interested concerns should, as early as possible, but no later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in this acquisition by providing evidence of capability to perform. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233320. The Government anticipates significant subcontracting activity under the SABER contract. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the Electronic Posting System/Federal Business Ops (http://www.eps.gov). The Government will not provide any paper copies of the solicitation. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation and amendments and downloading them for their files.
