Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue an order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedure solely to Serena Software International located at 500 Airport Boulevard, Second Floor, Burlingame, CA 94010-1904, to obtain software support of the following proprietary service: COMPAREX MVS CPU Software, which is installed on System 76 Hitachi Skyline 525 S/N 360056 at 532 MIPS and located at the National Computer Center (SSA) 6201 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21235. Serena Software International is the only known source, which can provide the required service. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. This synopsis constitutes the only announcement. Requests for copies of solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to publication. If no affirmative written responses are received by October 26, 2000, an order will be issued to Serena Software International for the continuation of software maintenance support. Respondents should refer to 2000-COMPAREX.
