Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Connecticut Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with General Electric Medical Systems for providing a full service contract for an MRI System (GE provided) including Cryogen support, at our West Haven, CT facility. Scope of work shall include the following: Provide quarterly preventive maintenance vistits by factory trained representative(s). Provide credentials of factory trained representative(s). Provide emergency and regular repair service coverage from 8:00am to 9:00pm, Monday -- Friday. Respond by telephone within 30 minutes of notification by the VA and commence on-site repair within two (2) hours. Monitor level of Cryogens within the magnet's cryostat and fill as necessary. Replace all defective parts and components as required for emergency and regular repair and preventive maintenance service calls. Provide signed vendor service call reports upon completion of each call to the proper Bio-Medical personnel. Vendor services shall meet the standards of JCAHO, the OEM standards, and other accrediting bodies as well as quality assurance criteria. An RFQ shall be issued on or about 10-18-00.
