Description

This procurement is for Low Loss Launch Valve Plugs, (both right hand and left hand threads) part number 626725-4 Plug, RH, and part number 626727-4 Plug, LH. The LLLV Plug is a large (approximately 450-lb.) two piece forging (Shaft and Plug Head),welded together and rough machined to a required finish and geometric tolerance. An ACME thread is required on the shaft after joining. This is a flight critical item and requires significant quality control. Minimum quantity 6 each of P/N 626725-4, with a maximum qty of 40, and 6 each of P/N 626727-4, with a maximum qty of 40. Minimum quantity will be purchased with first delivery order. Delivery 270 days after order, FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ. Inspection and Acceptance at source with Best Commercial packaging/packing. A Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract is anticipated. Plugs may be ordered during a period beginning January 2001 and ending December 2005 by Delivery Order. Delivery schedules will be computed 270 days from the date each Delivery Order is issued. This procurement contains Technical Data subject to the Export Control Laws, see Note 8. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government, considering the factors of Technical, Past Performance and Price.
