Description

The Government has a requirement for a contractor to perform full service and maintenance on Siemens vision MRI unit located at New York harbor healthcare, Brooklyn campus. Contract will include full service and maintenance during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Contract will also include Cryogens. Preventive maintenance to be performed according to manufacturer's specification by factory trained service engineers. Training documentation is to be provided to the VA demonstrating competency of site service engineers. Contractor is responsible to schedule preventive maintenance inspections on a mutually agreed upon time. Contract will include software/system updates and access to Siemens uptime service support center for technical telephone support and remote diagnostics. Uptime support center to include 24x7 support. Service reports to be provided to biomedical engineering. PM's will be provided on a quarterly basis. Contract will cover all necessary labor, tools, equipment, parts and transportation to perform all repairs and preventive maintenance inspections. From date of award thru September 30, 2001. Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, etc., necessary to maintain in a first class operating condition at the VA Medical Center, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. This procurement shall be procured and awarded using the commercial item procedures. The term of the contract shall be from Date of award through September 30, 2001 with a Government option to extend the term of the contract for (4) additional one-year periods. This procurement is open to small and large business as well. The applicable SIC is 7629.
