Description

The Contractor will provide all material, labor, services, equipment, licenses, taxes and other items necessary for the Upgrade and Overhaul of six (6) elevators in this facility. Work includes, but not limited to: Drive Control Systems, Duplex Controllers, Pumping Equipment, Jack Assemblies, "Life Jacket" Safety System, Hatch Doors and Door Operators, Cabs, Cab Gate/Door and Flooring, Fireman's Recall Phase I and II, Smoke Detectors, Emergency Lighting, etc. as further described in Technical Specifications. Work is to be completed in four (4) phases over the course of one year. Schedule of Values must be submitted with bid package. Attendance at Pre-proposal meeting is strongly suggested. Meeting to be held on Friday, October 20, 2000 at 10:00 AM at the New Jersey Int'l & Bulk Mail Center, 80 County Road (International Conference Room), Jersey City, NJ. Cost Range is $650,000 -- $800,000. Solicitation packages may be obtained from the NY Facilities Service Office, 2 Hudson Place, Hoboken, NJ 07030-5502, Attn: Lori E. Savage. Requests for solicitation must be accompanied by a company check or money order in the amount of $40.00 made payable to Disbursing Officer-USPS. Sealed offers will be received no later than November 1, 2000. Offers will not be publicly opened. The amount of any offer or relative standing of the offers will not be disclosed to anyone until time of contract award. Award will be made in accordance with Section M of the solicitation.
