Description

NAICS Code-235110 (formerly SIC Code 1711). Contractor to provide all labor, material, and supervision required to: replace 2 cooling towers; provide combination wet pipe sprinkler and class A standpipe system for designated areas of bldg.; remove existing doors and install fire rated doors, install fire safety door enclosures in lobby area; provide and install DDC controls for designated systems, revise heating and cooling systems for the existing judicial chamber. All work shall be performed on weekends and after hours (nights) only, at the J. Marvin Jones Federal Building, 205 East 5th Street, Amarillo, TX. The solicitation will consist of a base bid with provision for 4-5 options. The estimated cost range for the base bid portion of this project (#RTX97031) is $200,000 to $400,000. The estimated cost range for all the options is between $50,000 to $100,000. A bid bond/guarantee is required. This contract will be acquired utilizing informal source selection procedures with a firm fixed-price award to offeror who provides the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors will focus on offerors' past experience and past performance. When combined, these factors are significantly more important than cost or price. This unrestricted procurement is being made under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, all responsible firms are invited to participate.
