Description

The work consist of the removal of approximately 4,500,000 cubic yards of dredged material comprised of maintenance material with variable widths of 200 to 1000 feet to required depths of 36-38 feet (below mean low tide) and 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Material will be deposited in open bay (emergent) placement areas. The plans and specifications will be provided on compact disc only at no charge. Register at Galveston District's website to request a copy of the CD. Subcontracting goals for the Galveston District are: 61.4% -- Small Business; 9.1% -- Small Disadvantaged Business; 5.0% -- Woman-Owned; 1.5% -- Hubzone Small Business. The cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
