- Description
- Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision required to remove the existing roof systems and install new roofs on three lighthouses in the Straits of Mackinac, MI. The lights are located approximately 1 mile off-shore on the Lake Huron side of the Straits and are within a 10 mile radius of each other. One light is to be re-roofed with a copper standing seam roof and the other two are to be re-roofed with new Thermoplastic Alloy Roofing. The project will include asbestos removal from the Fourteen Foot Shoal Light. (Lights are Poe Reef Light, Martin Reef Light and the Fourteen Foot Shoal Light.) Note: All transportation to and from the lights will be the contractor's responsibility. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS), formerly known as the SIC code, is 123561. The estimated range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This solicitation can be downloaded from the USCG CEU web-site http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/ceucleveland on approximately October 25, 2000. The Bid Opening date will be approximately November 28, 2000. This date is estimated and may change.
