Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, EA-6B Program Office, PMA 234, is planning to procure engineering services to incorporate the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) into the EA-6B ICAP III Aircraft. The services to be procured include systems and software engineering, EMI/EMC engineering and analysis, and documentation development. The effort will provide upgrades to the ICAP III Tactical Display System, Information Management, and Mission Management software. The effort will also provide EMI and EMC analysis regarding interference between the MIDS antennae and existing equipment including the Indication Friend or Foe unit, Tactical Air Navigation unit, and ICAP III LR700 receivers. The Government intends to negotiate a cost plus fixed fee contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), Bethpage, NY pursuant to Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. NGC is the Prime Contractor of the EA-6B ICAP III upgrade contract, and as such is the only known source with the engineering expertise, source data, facilities and knowledge to provide the required effort.
