Description

The work to be performed under this solicitation consists of repairing/servicing an air compressor at Hoover Dam. The compressor is an Atlas Copco Stationary Compressor, 1995 Model No. ZR4-63, Product No. ZR46340014, Serial No. AIF23678, maximum 125 psig, 350 hp. This repair/service will include 8,000-hour service and replacement of the LP and HP elements. The project is located at Hoover Dam, approximately 7 miles northeast of Boulder City, Nevada, and 32 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada, in Clark County, Nevada. This solicitation is a total Small Business Set-Aside. For this acquisition the NAICS code is 811310 and the small business size standard is $5.0 million. This acquisition will be pursued in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. We will issue a Request for Quotes in the form of a solicitation which will include a description of the work requirements, instructions to offerors, and required certifications. We estimate that we will issue the solicitation on October 25, 2000. We anticipate that the due date for quotes will be November 9, 2000. No documents will be available until the solicitation is issued. There is no charge for one hard copy of the solicitation.
